2nd Annual Advances in Cardiovascular Disease Management for the Primary Care Physician

On October 8, 2005 the Division of Cardiology held its 1st Annual Advances in Cardiovascular Disease Management for the Primary Care Physician. Accredited for 6.75 Category 1 CME credits and 7.3 nursing contact hours, the conference was attended by over 200 participants at the Hilton at Short Hills, Short Hills, NJ.  The course was under the direction of Marc Klapholz, MD, Director of the Division of Cardiology at NJMS.

Topics included diagnosis and management of pulmonary embolism, coronary artery disease, hypertension, defibrillators and bi-ventricular pacemakers, lipid management, atrial fibrillation, heart failure and a featured lecture on women and heart disease.

In response to the overwhelming success of the program and feedback from participants, plans have begun for the “2nd Annual Advances in Cardiovascular Disease Management for the Primary Care Physician” scheduled for Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Hilton at Short Hills.
