CALL TO ORDER:

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m.

SALIENT ISSUES:

• The CME Committee approved the minutes of the meeting of June 15, 2005.
• The CME Committee reviewed the letter sent to Dr. Stagnaro-Green regarding the prioritization of CME initiatives at New Jersey Medical School.  The letter was written as a follow-up to an August meeting with Dr. Stagnaro-Green, Dr. Lindenthal, Ms. Wrobbel and Ms. Nelsen. 
• The composition of the committee for next year was discussed and a list of members was approved for submission to Faculty Council.  The proposed list reflects consideration given to members of the faculty volunteering for membership.
• Nicholas von Lutz, Manager of Educational Systems, CCOE, demonstrated the NJMS CME website “CMEd”.  The intent of “CMEd” is to communicate the NJMS CME initiative.  The prototype was designed/developed over the past months in consultation with Dr. Jacob Lindenthal, Dr. Kathryn Pokorny, Patricia Wrobbel (CCOE), Tristan Nelsen (CCOE) and Nicholas von Lutz (CCOE).  Discussion of the website was conducted by committee members; suggestions for inclusions and changes to be made. Target date finalization and launch of CMEd is set for December 6, 2005.
• The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 19th at 4:00 p.m. at UH C455.
