CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m.
SALIENT ISSUES:
- The CME Committee approved the minutes of the meeting of October 19, 2005.
- The committee discussed specific recommendations involving elevation of continuing medical education activities at the New Jersey Medical School as requested by the Dean, Dr. Robert L. Johnson.
- The soon to be launched CMEd website was reviewed by the committee and a recommendation be made that it be launched at the January meeting of the Faculty Council.
- Dr. Lindenthal, Dr. Boccabella, and Patricia Wrobbel met with Dr. Lawrence Feldman, Sr. Associate Dean for Education to advise him of NJMS CME activities and enlist his cooperation.
- The Committee will meet once again with Dr. Feldman during the month of January.
- Plans were made for two workshops to be held in February and May as well as for visits to departments during their monthly meetings.
- The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 21st at 4:00 p.m. at UH C455.
