CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 3:30p.m.
SALIENT ISSUES:
- The CME Committee approved the minutes of the meeting of April 15th.
- Dr. Lindenthal introduced Patrick Dwyer, Director, CCOE Business Development and former Director, Continuing Education at RWJMS.
- Mr. Dwyer discussed partnerships between CCOE and RWJ faculty. Dr. David Kountz has championed the importance of CME and life long learning.
- A request was made to the committee that they review and respond with any comments in regards to Conflict of Interest policy.
- The composition of the committee for next year was discussed.
- Plans where developed to invite Division Directors for luncheon discussions over the summer in order to explore possible CME activities.
- Plans where also discussed for visits to department at their respective monthly meetings win order to familiarize faculty about CME activities.
- Further discussion took place regarding a monthly bulleting to be disseminated from the committee and CCOE office, alerting faculty to possible CME activities.
- The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 20th at 4:00 p.m at UH C455.
