OVERVIEW:
This course is designed to provide the latest information on the mechanism, diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of reproductive endocrine disorders. In addition to didactic presentations, diagnostic dilemmas reflecting the breadth of reproductive endocrinology will be presented for problem-solving by the faculty and participants. Interactive problem-solving exercises at the conclusion of each day using audience response pads (ARPs) will cover a broad range of endocrine disorders and infertility. These sessions are designed to filter the evidence appropriate to each patient through an interpreted and individualized approach. In addition to diagnosis and management, emphasis will be placed on the scope and limitations of different diagnostic interventions and the use of evidence-based medicine in deciphering infertility problems. All of the faculty members have been selected because of their recognized expertise in specific areas of interest.

This course is designed as an in-depth review and update for reproductive endocrinologists who wish to sharpen and broaden their skills or for generalists who wish to increase their knowledge of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Interactive and problem-solving sessions using the ARPs will be of particular value to registrants who are preparing for written or oral examinations leading to board certification in reproductive medicine.

Registrants from other disciplines (medical endocrinology; pediatric endocrinology) will gain insights into treatment and practice patterns in reproductive endocrinology and genetics. The venue selected for the meeting is particularly conducive to easy interaction with faculty and registrants.
