Parking Instructions for Continuing

late or need additional information,

From New Jersey Turnpike,
North or South:
Take exit 15W to I-280 West to the
Orange Street/ 6th Street exit. Make
the first right onto Orange Street
and proceed one block to First Street. Turn
right and proceed about half a mile
across West Market Street, where First
Street becomes Bergen Street. UMDNJ
is on your left.
From the Garden State Parkway, North
or South:
Take exit 145 to I-280 East. Stay
to the left to exit at First Street. Turn
right onto First Street and continue
across W. Market Street, where First
Street becomes Bergen Street. UMDNJ
is on your left.
From Route 78, East or West
Take Exit 56, Elizabeth Avenue, and
turn left at the first light onto Elizabeth Avenue. At the next light, turn left onto W. Bigelow
Street. Go about 3/10
of a mile and turn right onto Bergen Street. Proceed
about 1½ miles to South
Orange Ave. UMDNJ is on your
right.
From New York City:
Take the George Washington Bridge
or the Lincoln Tunnel to NJ Turnpike
to Exit 15W. Follow directions
from the NJ Turnpike.
Or take the Holland Tunnel to the
NJ Turnpike (exit 14) to Route 78 West. Follow
directions from Route 78 West.
Mass Transit:
PATH, Amtrak rail lines, and New Jersey
Transit buses and trains serve Penn
Station in downtown Newark, about a
mile from the UMDNJ campus. The
#21 and #34 buses stop near the campus,
schedules are available at the information
booth in the main waiting area at Penn
Station and online at: www.njtransit.com. Taxis
are also available in front of Penn
Station.
