OVERVIEW
We are pleased to offer this opportunity for post-master’s study in Rehabilitation Counseling. This certificate is designed to meet the needs of individuals with masters degrees in counseling who are interested in taking additional course work both to gain expertise in the specialty of rehabilitation counseling and to complete additional credits needed to qualify for the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) examination or the National Counselor Examination (NCE) to become a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
PREREQUISITE
Master's degree in counseling with minimum of 45 graduate credits. Official transcript to be submitted with application

REQUIREMENTS
A maximum of 15 credits. Previous graduate level work may, by advisement, reduce the number of credits to a minimum of 9 credits. Individualized curriculum with required course work customized by advisement to address all the needed course work for the credential the student is seeking as well as courses the student is interested in taking to increase knowledge and expertise in the area of rehabilitation counseling.
Please be advised...Curriculum will be customized to meet coursework requirements. It remains the responsibility of the student to communicate with the credentialing body or state licensing board regarding all of the requirements for the credential or license being sought.
