OVERVIEW 
We are pleased to offer this opportunity for post-bachelor's study in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. Post Baccalaureate Certificate courses taken for academic credit can be transferred into UMDNJ's Master's degree program in rehabilitation counseling, if completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
REQUIRED COURSES 
PSRT 5102 Counseling Techniques I - 3 credits
Introduction to counseling and communication methods and technologies employed in the rehabilitation of people with disabilities, with particular emphasis on assessment and planning interventions.
PSRT 5323 Theories of Counseling and Personality - 3 credits
Major theories of counseling and personality are studied with regard to key concepts, the therapeutic process, and applications in rehabilitation counseling. The effectiveness, limitations, and appropriateness of these theories for helping diverse populations are examined.
PSRT 5132 Medical Aspects of Disabilities - 3 credits
Medical aspects of disabilities, functional capabilities of individuals, and appropriate intervention resources (e.g. assistive technology).
PSRT 5201 Vocational Rehabilitation I: Career Development - 3 credits
The philosophical and empirical bases for state-of-the-art vocational rehabilitation of persons with disability are covered, with an emphasis on theories of career development and methods to assist in career choice and planning. Prerequisite: PSRT 5102
