CENTER FOR ADVANCED AND CONTINUING EDUCATION
Certificate for Advanced Study in Allied
Dental Education
Description
In
today’s modern dental facility,
it has become evident that some non-dental
skills are
required and essential to fulfill the
workforce demand. The Department of Allied
Dental
Education has designed a Certificate
for Advanced Study in Allied Dental Education
that
shifts the emphasis from primary dental
course work to a combined study of dentistry,
education, research, computer technology
and human resources. This change creates
a
multi-skilled individual capable of handling
all the duties necessary to operate and
manage today’s modern dental facility.
Certificate courses are offered for academic
credit
and, if completed with a grade of “C” or
higher, can be transferred into a Bachelor’s
degree program offered by UMDNJ.
