HIV/AIDS Medical Update Series - Free On-Site Training

These free 1-hour medical information programs have been developed to provide training on HIV/AIDS care to health care professionals throughout New Jersey:

  • HIV in Pregnancy: Preventing Perinatal Transmission:
    New legislation for the State of NJ requiring HIV testing of pregnant women and certain newborns became effective June 2008. New regulations for applying the law were released in September 2009. Know the law and how to implement the guidelines. Learn your legal responsibilities and what impact it may have on patient care.  
  • Diagnosis and Initial Management of HIV/AIDS: What the Primary Care Physician Should Know
  • HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C Co-Infection
  • Immunizations for HIV Positive Prophylaxis
  • Non-Occupational Post-Exposure Prophylaxis
  • Prevention and Prophylaxis for Occupational Exposure to HIV and Other Blood Borne Pathogens
  • Prophylaxis and Treatment of Opportunistic Infections in Patients with HIV Disease
  • Rapid Diagnostic HIV Testing
