Students may receive a refund of their tuition within the following timeframe:

Prior to or during the first week of classes             100%

During the second week of classes                       80%

During the third week of classes                           60%

During the fourth week of classes                         40%

After the fourth week                                            No Refund

Requests must be submitted in writing or via electronic transmission within time periods noted above.

Students are considered full-time when enrolled for 9 academic credits or more.

Students wishing to withdraw from a program or course must complete an add/drop form within the first two-thirds of a course term.

Students seeking to add a course after they have registered or who are registering late may do so only with the permission of the instructor within the first two weeks of a course. Registration is accomplished by completing a registration form. Adding a course requires submission of an add/drop form.

Students who take on-campus courses or use campus facilities are required to obtain a student ID badge or a visitor’s pass from the Office of Public Safety. The badge/pass is to be worn in all University buildings and presented any time a request is made by a security staff member.

Students wishing to park in a UMDNJ parking lot must purchase a parking hang tag. Various purchase plans are available, including one-day, five-day and monthly parking plans. Student ID’s and Parking Hang-tags may be obtained at the following Public Safety locations. Call the location for specific hours of operation.
